How Booking Works
Booking a home you have never visited, in a country you may never have lived in, deserves a process that is transparent from end to end. Here is exactly what happens between “I found a room I like” and “the keys are in my hand” — usually a matter of days.
The five steps
- Search your dates. The availability page shows every room and flat free for your exact dates — live data, not a brochure. Filter by budget, private bathroom, walk time.
- Send a request. From any home's page — or select several homes at once from the search. You receive an instant confirmation email; the owner (copied on it) replies directly, usually within 24 hours.
- Confirm the details. Dates, room, price — everything is restated in writing. Ask anything: WhatsApp +33 6 22 89 89 07 works too.
- Sign online. The lease is prepared for your exact dates and e-signed — no printing, no post.
- Pay the deposit. Two months of rent by bank transfer secures the booking. That's it: your home is held for you, fully furnished and connected, until you land.
When is it “mine”? Your booking is confirmed once the deposit is received. Until then the dates show as under option — we never double-let a room that is being finalised.
Arrival day
Keys are handed over in person, everything already works — heating, internet, linen on request. No French utility contracts to open, no bank account needed before you can sleep somewhere. Your first week belongs to INSEAD, not to admin.
Frequently asked questions
Can I pay the deposit from abroad?
Yes — standard international bank transfer (SEPA within Europe). Details come with the lease.
What if my plans change before arrival?
Talk to us early — leases follow INSEAD dates and subletting to another INSEAD student is allowed, so there is almost always a path.
Is there really no agency fee?
Really none. You deal with the owners; the price on the site is the price you pay.
Five steps, a few days, zero paperwork stress.
