Coming to INSEAD with your partner changes the housing equation entirely. A room in a shared house rarely works for two; what you need is a private flat close to campus — and those are the scarcest properties in Fontainebleau. Here is what actually works for couples, and when to book it.

All all-inclusive: utilities, high-speed internet, local taxes and cleaning. Prices are per home, not per person — a couple sharing a flat pays less per head than two single rooms — and each home's current rate is published on its own page and in the availability search.
Flat or shared house?
A private flat gives you a real home: your kitchen, your rhythm, space for a partner who may be working remotely while you disappear into group work. A couple-friendly suite in a shared house (possible in some Maison Royale suites) trades privacy for instant community — worth considering if your partner is new in town and wants built-in social life.
The honest constraint: couple-suitable homes are few — Fontainebleau has far more rooms than flats. Couples should book earlier than single students: 4–5 months before the intake for the best choice.
Practical notes for partners
- Leases follow INSEAD dates — 15 Aug → 31 Dec, 11 months, or Jan → Jul. One lease, both names possible.
- Working remotely? The Metropolitan Flat 2 (45 m²) has a separate study — rare in Fonty.
- One deposit — whatever the number of occupants.
